As a new feature to the new blog, I've decided to pick a unique image from every year of the 1'st 1/2 of the 20'th century with a little description. It won't be every post, but eventually there'll be 50 images. Starting with 1900, I've selected an image showcasing American optimism and hope at the turn of the century, something seriously lacking today. At any rate, the poster tells of our "manifest destiny" in annexing foreign lands, and of our crusading spirit with the Spanish-American and Phillipine-American conflicts now under our belts. I will try to cover many, many countries in my posts with their own aspects, but the poster is very neat.
